CUSTOMER APPRECIATION
ZIPPER The front zipper is metal and works well. It is pretty strong so it won't be hard to zip in a hurry. POCKETS The pockets are double entry. That means that you can lift the flap on them which has velcro on them, or you can put your hands in the side to keep them warm. The top entry pocket is slick, the side entry pocket is slightly flocked for comfort and warmth. There are nice gussets in the pockets of this too for room for the hands. CUFFS The cuffs have a nice strong elastic, but also velcro tabs on them to adjust. They have plenty of room for comfort and are not too tight or loose. WAIST There is a rope for waist cinching to keep wind from blowing up the coat. HOOD The hood is nicely designed. I can draw it shut and can still see without it going down around my eyes. It is also removable. There is lining in the hood as well as padding. The drawstring has a weighted end to it, so that it will stay down nicely and not get lost in the casing. SIZING This is a XXL size. Amazon has a tendency to run VERY small when it comes to women's clothing, so I figured this would be perfect. I wear between a size 14 and 16 and this fits well with enough room for a sweatshirt or sweater, making this wearable right up into winter and again in early spring. WIND AND RAIN This coat performed well in wind and rain, but I would think a downpour for a long time might start to leak a bit. I have only had rainy days without severity to test this in, but it worked well for that. THE BOTTOM LINE For a great coat which has plenty of room, is well made and is well designed, I highly recommend this coat. It works well for moderate rain and high winds keeping me warm, and it even has room for a sweater on really cold days
